The Last Two Event's

You can click to enlarge this, yes it's the last two events and sandwiched in the middle is the monthly Artist's Cafe. I'm hoping for wonderful weather tomorrow for the Treasure Hunt. The final event will be the Nature Walk and Arty Workshop with the help of Vic the park keeper. Then it's all over! I hope everyone who has participated has enjoyed themselves and everyone who did the workshops with me gained a lot from their experiences and discovered skills they didn't realise they had.

A Reminder of the Time Change

I must point out that the time has changed from 7.30 to 8.45 as Nick and the Youth Council both thought it would be too light and not eerie enough.
Spooook to you sooon!!

Welcome All Junior Artists

Hi there,

If you have been given this leaflet in your book-bag and are wondering how you're going to paint or draw your family or yourself you really have lots of choice. You could simply draw or paint. Why not try collage, just cutting out lots of different coloured paper and using it imaginatively. There is always good old felt tips or crayons. Whatever you do have fun! I'll look forward to seeing your art in the next few weeks.

By the way I didn't put on the leaflet that I would prefer the picture to be on A4 paper, I'm just thinking if I get a lot of entries I want to be able to fit them all on Sarah's wall at Northland Park cafe. So it would really helpful if you could do this. Thanks

The Art Competition Leaflet

I made a simple flyer, brought it to Tony Guyon who approved it and said he would print out all the flyers for me, making them A5. (I had to literally think on my feet as I suddenly realised that there was probably an exact month left for the children to make their pictures).

Next step approaching the schools, both schools approved!
So I am picking up all the leaflets tomorrow, cutting them over the weekend and will be delivering them to the schools on Monday morning. Luckily I have recently bought a page cutter.
Click on the picture to see it enlarged.
Oh by the way 'The Events' they are now updated, just click on the left hand corner where it says 'CLICK HERE TO SEE THE EVENTS' to get there quicker, or scroll down.

A big THANKYOU to Tony Guyon and Interlock for printing all those flyers for the schools.

Sylaks Poster

Sylak is doing his own version of this poster to make our own poster advertising that we are inviting artists to meet at the art cafe every 1st Sunday at noon. Apparently lots of people are interested.
We discussed that it would be good to show each other our art and get talking forming ideas to what sort of things we could do as a 'bohemian art group.' Bless his enthusiasm.

Sylak has lots of ideas for a bohemian society - even if it's one that meets at the cafe once a month. I'm glad I've got an enthusiastic resident. * Sylaks dreams:I envisage the Café as a relaxed atmosphere for spiritual fulfillment / rather than financial gain. (on further conversations about the artists Café).
